Gannan, rated by China National Geographic as one of the "50 places you must see in your lifetime," is known as the "Little Tibet" of Gansu.

✔️The owner of the guesthouse usually provides a "sunset watching" navigation route (starting around 17:00)

✅Labrang Monastery: The longest prayer path in the world and known as the "world center of Tibetan studies."
✔️When the sun rises or sets, cross the road from the parking lot and climb to the opposite slope to see the Labrang Monastery in its entirety. The Gongtang Pagoda is also a great place to see the panoramic view of Labrang Monastery (requires a ticket)
✔️Ticket: 40 yuan/person
✔️There are quite a few accommodations around the monastery, but the environment is ordinary. For dining, Wuzelinca Tibetan Restaurant is highly recommended.

✅Zhaganana:Named as the birthplace of Adam and Eve by explorer Locke
✔️There are four villages in Zhagana. The main routes are:
First route: Dongwa Village-Yeri Village-Dari Village-Daba Village
Second route: Daxiagu
Third route: Xiannutang and Xiannuhu
✔️Xian Nutang: You can walk up the plank road (about 30 minutes) or take an electric car (40/person, including expenses to Yi Xian Tian and Xiannutang)
✔️Yeri Village is a great place to watch the sunrise. The Loker Observation Deck on the back mountain offers a good view of the entire Dongwa Village.

📌Notes:
✔️Gannan is a high-altitude area with large temperature differences in the morning and evening, so bring down jackets or warm windbreakers to avoid strenuous exercise;
✔️Altitude sickness is common in high-altitude areas. Remember to bring drugs for altitude sickness, such as Bolufeng, glucose, anti-dizziness, etc.;
✔️The parking fee inside the scenic area is usually 5-10 yuan, but individual attractions charge by the hour. Payment is commonly made through mobile scan code. Cash may also be accepted depending on the circumstance.
✔️Don't forget to bring along photographic equipment, such as sunglasses, hats, shawls, selfie sticks, power banks, sun umbrellas, and drones;
✔️When visiting ethnic minority areas, respect local customs and habits;
✔️Take plenty of snacks and drinks with you. Instant noodles, self-heating hotpot, self-heating rice, etc. are recommended since not used to eating local food may cause diarrhea;
✔️Try not to touch wild ground squirrels along the roadside, the video of people getting sick after touching them can be found online.
